Concrete inverted T‐beams that support precast stringers on flanges of the inverted T were studied in 27 load tests to failure. Loading included combinations of flexural shear and torsional shear on prestressed and on conventional reinforced specimens. Strength analyses based on test results provide advice for design procedures and reinforcement details applicable to the flanges as well as the shear and flexural strength of such beams.
